PRESS RELEASE
PHONO Shines at Open Energies 2026 in Lyon with Green Innovation
2026-03-13From March 10 to 11, the Open Energies 2026 exhibition was held at the Lyon Eurexpo. PHONO made a strong appearance at the event, showcasing a wide array of innovative products and solutions. The exhibition highlighted the company's latest advancements in low-carbon technologies, PV- storage integration, mounting systems, and power plant repowering, further solidifying its footprint in the European market.
As one of Europe's most promising photovoltaic markets, France is accelerating its energy transition. According to the latest Multiannual Energy Plan (PPE3), the country aims to reach 48 GW of cumulative solar capacity by 2030 and further increase it to between 55 and 80 GW by 2035. Carbon footprint certification has become a critical threshold for participating in tenders for projects above 100 kW, directly impacting market access and bidding advantages. In response, PHONO continues to deepen its local presence in France. At Open Energies, the company highlighted its comprehensive capabilities in ESG performance, carbon compliance, project adaptability, and aging plant repowering—addressing France's increasingly stringent policy and tender requirements with tailored, differentiated offerings.

Tailored Solutions for Diverse Applications
In response to diverse emerging applications across France, PHONO showcased four targeted solutions: agrivoltaics, solar carport systems, high-end residential installations, and power plant repowering—each designed to meet evolving policy frameworks and market demands

High-transparency agrivoltaic modules: Designed specifically for agrivoltaic applications, these modules ensure optimal sunlight penetration for crops while generating clean energy—fully in line with French dual-use land regulations.
Scutum Solar Carport System: Featuring lightweight bifacial modules and modular mounting structures, this system integrates vehicle shading, power generation, and EV charging capabilities, providing an efficient and aesthetically pleasing energy solution for commercial parking lots and industrial parks.
Full-black residential solar solution: Targeting the premium residential segment, these all-black modules combine minimalist aesthetics with flexible installation, meeting the dual demands of architectural design and energy performance. When paired with modular rooftop mounting systems, they offer easy installation and high adaptability.
Repowering solution for aging plants: As early PV installations in France approach the end of their lifecycle, plant repowering is expected to become a key growth area over the next five to ten years. A case in point is a shopping center retrofit project on a French island, involving rooftop and carport systems. PHONO delivered a full-chain upgrade solution encompassing modules, inverters, and transformers—demonstrating its integrated capabilities and proven experience in customized repowering projects.

Amid the global push toward carbon neutrality and the ongoing energy transition, PHONO will continue to leverage its global supply chain, localized services, and technological innovation to strengthen its presence in France and across Europe. By promoting deeper integration of photovoltaics with sectors such as construction, transportation, and agriculture, the company is committed to advancing intelligent energy through green technology. PHONO looks forward to collaborating with more partners to shape a clean, low-carbon, and sustainable energy future.
