PHONO Stirs up OPEN ENERGIES 2024 with the Debut of New Products in Lyon, France
2024-01-25From January 23rd to 24th, 2024, OPEN ENERGIES kicked off at the EuroExpo Center in Lyon, France, SUMEC PHONO made a wonderful appearance at the exhibition with its innovative and differentiated products. OPEN ENERGIES is the largest and most influential comprehensive exhibition of renewable energy in France, which is a perfect opportunity for PHONO to showcase its strength in low-carbon innovation and to enhance its market reputation and brand influence in the French local market.
According to the latest data from the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), new PV installations in France have reached a record 3.15GW in 2023, with cumulative installed PV capacity hitting 19GW. Thanks to various incentives and investments in renewable energy made by the French government in recent years, such as Feed-in Tariffs (FIT) subsidies, energy savings certificates, photovoltaic self-consumption bonus, and VAT reductions, etc., France's PV sector has been experiencing significant growth over the past few years. In 2023, a French bill aimed at accelerating the production of renewable energy was passed and came into force, proposing a series of mandatory new regulations for PV installations in parking lots, building rooftops, and other scenarios in France. Under the two-way impetus of policy incentives and demand escalation, it is predicted that the French PV market will continue to have huge growth potential in the future.
In this exhibition, PHONO displayed a series of cutting-edge high-efficiency solar modules and two types of solar cells, attracting many visitors to the booth. The 108-cell Draco series module was exhibited for the first time, it overturns the traditional square wafer design and adopts the optimized rectangular wafers to maximize the utilization of container space with the ultimate optimized module size to achieve higher cost-efficiency, which helps clients to further reduce the LCOE. The product has a highly consistent full-black aesthetic appearance and lightweight characteristics, which perfectly fits the rooftop solar system. Another Draco series module meets the demand of large-scale ground power plants by adopting 210mm wafers with a power of up to 700W. Its excellent power generation performance, high reliability and short payback period make it the most ideal choice for many large solar projects in Europe.
In addition, the 210mm Helios module adopts 210mm wafers and HJT technology, with a maximum power of up to 720W, and its unique phototransfer film technology ensures excellent initial power and low attenuation rate. Meanwhile, the Helios series itself is an environmental-friendly product with the lowest carbon footprint value in the market, of less than 400 Kg eqCO2/kWc. PHONO always insists on technological innovation, and these differentiated products fully satisfy customers' multi-dimensional requirements for safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, low-carbon, and long-lasting lifespan under different application scenarios.
Two different sizes (182mm and 210mm) of N-type TOPCon high-efficiency cells, were also exhibited at PHONO’s booth, which has high conversion efficiency, outstanding bifaciality, zero LID, and anti-PID. PHONO’s own N-type cell production line provided it with a more vertical, reliable, and stable upstream supply for PHONO’s N-type module.
As a state-owned enterprise with many years of brand accumulation, PHONO never stops its steps in pursuit of sustainability, including releasing ESG report every year and obtaining 100% Green Energy Consumption Certificate, Carbon Neutrality Achievement Verification Statement, EPD-Norge certificate, etc. Facing the carbon footprint requirement valued by the French market, PHONO has completed the full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and is actively applying for the French Carbon Footprint ECS certificate. Adhering to the brand concept of "Innovation, Reliability, and Sustainability", PHONO is looking forward to working with global partners to promote clean energy transition and contribute to the global carbon neutrality goal.
